The strangest thing we have seen on the side of the road was a boat, yes, a boat. No trailer, just a large boat (maybe 25 feet long) in the median of Route 2 in northern Ohio, about 5 - 10 miles south of lake Erie. Could not figure out how it jumped off the trailer and onto the median of the road. This was about 5 or 6 years ago and we still talk about it every time we go past there, 2 - 3 times a year.
