Many years ago, probably back in the 1970's, there was an article in a magazine - I'm guessing Texas Monthly - about this phenomenon. They had actual statistics, though I can't imagine how they got them. Anyway, anyone who has ever spent time in cars has surely seen many solo shoes along the way, all types, all sizes. It's a mystery, for sure.
