Last night at 10pm it was still 87 degrees out and heat index of 103...I don't do well in heat and am quite tired of this heat wave...we usually only have a few days a summer that airconditioning is needed. I only have a window airconditioner....in my living room....which is better than no airconditioner. But, after working all day, coming home in the heat, I really don't accomplish much. Any room besides living room is too warm (kitchen, sewing room, etc)...I keep fans going in those rooms to "help" when I am in them....which usually isn't for too long.

I have been doing watering early in am as it has been too hot in evenings to do it. I also use "neck coolers" to help stay cool. Here is a link to a site with how to make them: http://www.p2designs.com/shipcooler.htm

This weekend is looking cooler...at least for a few days before it is back in the 90's. I plan on taking advantage of that by doing some sewing and some yardwork.
