quiltymom-- i feel really bad for you! we're not that hot, gratefully! and the a/c is working just fine, 24/7. your situation sounds more like the tx summers we had. rarely rained, except what i used to call phantom rain. 15 minutes of downpour and 5 minutes later you couldn't tell it had rained. and long stretches of above 100 degrees. and i want to go back! go figure!!
