The poly blend solid I used for sashing on the first quilt I ever worked on held up to approximately 30 years of constant use (except during the summer, of course) without any sign of wear and tear. I had put it and the GFG we got as a wedding gift (which was also very worn around the edges) on a quilt stand for display in the 90s. All was ruined when our house burned in 2000.
I thought it wouldn't be long lasting because that is what I had read about cotton/poly blends, and also about high loft batting. Maybe I'm wrong? Happy days!
