I think a dark blue or a blue that reads solid (dark blue) would set off the quilt you already made with the blocks. Or use two shades of medium to dark fabrics and miter to corners to create a picture frame effect. Another idea would be to use a medium blue on two sides and a dark blue on two sides to make it look like a large attic window. It's a very pretty restful quilt.
