My long armer is so inexpensive that I do buy her a gift to give her when I pick up my quilt.
I only send out bed quilts as small quilts I do myself. Dont make many large quilts.
For heirloom quilts I would use an expert quilter I know who does amazing quilting. So far my quilts are not heirlooms.
