Sand is free at the beach!!! I made myself a pin cushion/trash bag and used the beautiful sand from the Icicle River...the sand sharpens the points every time I shove a pin in.
I collect sand from everywhere. I'm happy with a teaspoon of it, everyone is labeled on a special shelf.
Plus, i also at times use it in pincushions. I'm about 5miles from the so shore and about10 miles from the north shore of long island
