You could use 000 steel wool, it will also sharpen your needles. I would wear gloves and fill out side, it can get messy.

Neesie... don't worry, I use stuffig and pennies. If you ever need money,mine usually have some extra cash way down in the bottom

I collect sand from everywhere. I'm happy with a teaspoon of it, everyone is labeled on a special shelf.
Plus, i also at times use it in pincushions. I'm about 5miles from the so shore and about10 miles from the north shore of long island
