I really got interested in Civil War Quilts after finishing my Dear Jane..I was making a Civil War Cot Quilt and on the website was the description of Gun Boat Quilts..They were called that because the southern women made the quilts and raffeled them off to purchase gunboats. They look like Medallion Quilts and are very beautiful. I just Googled Free Gunboad Quilt Pattern and several showed up.
