YIKES!!! a dedicated coyote farm? Like OKSGlad, they are just wild predators here ... small and large animals beware and humans are hesitant. Hunting is allowed, though there are so many rules and exclusion areas that it;s minimal. And besides, hard to get ahead of the population! The best friend is oft said to be disease that kills them out.
The howling is something else, and as you said, how it starts and goes around. I am often amazed how it grows in numbers and volume. Then all of a sudden it stops, dead, as though the conductor dropped his baton to signal!!
