When I was a little girl a cat came to our farm and I loved it so it stayed. I named it Walter as I thought that was the prettiest name ever! You guessed it....Walter had kittens. But the name stuck and she came when called. My Mother did not call her by name however. She felt calling "Walter, time to come in" would have the neighbors wondering as my brother's name was Charles and my Dad's was Pete!
