OK, this sounds funny, but it works sometimes.
Take a screwdriver and touch it to a suspicious part of the machine.
Put the handle end next to your ear.
Turn the machine by hand and see if this amplifies the sound so you can pinpoint the source.
Try different parts/areas of the machine.
