I once made a boat cover for my first DH. . . but I am keeping that a deep, dark secret from my second DH mainly because he has a bigger boat, or the shock might kill him and I have zero desire to be a widow again. But the real reason I suppose is DH might put that to the test and it would use up precious quilt piecing time. Mending jeans is small potatoes especially if you have a machine that handles it. Still. . . one does have to keep the quilting thing the main thing and make sure everyone knows your priorities! I am BAD.
