When that happened with me, I fussy cut a matching type of "thingy", ie...roses on a quilt that had roses on it, and FLOATED that "thingy" on top of the mistake! I did a few so it looked as if I MEANT to do it and it was great. I called it my beautiful goof plate!!! Can you do that? I want quilting to be a pleasurable thing for me and un-sewing isn't much fun! Good luck to you. Happy holiday and take it easy on yourself.
