I use a very old Samson United dry iron I found at the Salvation Army store in Lyndora, PA. I paid 3.00 for it and 1.00 for a new old stock cloth covered replacement cord after my dachshund decided he liked the taste of the original one. I don't leave it on for hours on end, I iron what I need to iron in a session then unplug it. If you ever run across one - buy it.
