There is some sticky stuff here. These artwork designs are patented (I have found 16 specific so far, most from the late 1800's) However, There is a limit on how long those are valid, but "reissues" are also possible.

Most companies will tell you that everything that they have ever done or made is "theirs" and "copyrighted" but in fact many are no longer so.

There are also issues regarding "This works with machines like Singers" vs "I made this for Singer machines" vs "This is a Singer correct/original design" vs "This is a reproduction" (The joys of having a final year law school student for a DD)

I am looking into this now, but in the meantime I am currently working on the Singer 29-4 set "with him" (I have supplied my research photos) and I am working with my artist DD to make my own set of drawings. I have access to a good color laser copier/printer and may try a non-metallic printing to see how it works.
