Hello, I am a tool conneiuseur and have just added to the problem.
I honestly did not realize how many words on a page I can read, because my chosen way to read is one word at a time.
(I don't understand what enjoyment there is in being able to read Gone with the Wind in three days - -while in the SECOND grade! kids! ) Anyway, I guess I happened to see a ruler - - Flying Geese x 4
so, while I was down to the LQS today, I perused their rulers (as though I might have missed something??????) there was one of those rulers hanging, right in front of me
It is amazing how quickly I can do the pros and cons in my head ... BUT! I am quick! Pro - - Done by Lazy Girl and while I don't know how to use the ruler she designed for Peaky and Spike, but I did see her demonstrate it once more than a decade ago! And, I have the book <g>
Con - - it is a clear ruler with black lines ...
oh, decisions, decisions, I put my hand out to see what was the big deal, and SOLD!!! That is the finest way to make flying geese I have EVER known ... I just don't have all the formulas, and here they were in a seven inch ruler ! ! !
Most of you probably didn't know me when I made 1,064 flying geese units utilizing this method JUST to get it into my head ... NOW! <sigh> My flying geese journey is at an end .... but?
what is that cute little package over there?
hmmm ... it's just a little thing, and there is that pastel coloring thing going on with it ... but ... it SAYS "Mini 6.5 x-blocks ... whatever those are.
Pick up the package, flip it over .... hmmm...cannot see the ruler at all! hmmm... but, it is blue ... just saw a verse referenced: Psalm 90:12
but just noticed it and it is on the desk next to me ...
for your convenience, I looked up the websites for my newly acquired tools:
http://www.quiltqueendesigns.com/X-Blocks.html
http://www.lazygirldesigns.com/
it is too late to make me feel guilty ... besides, I try not to practice that for more than five minutes at a time ... for my part, I will now go into recovery, finish lunch, look over the two books I bought ...
catch y'all later <wave>
