That's a ball or a bar kind of thing, isn't it?
The ones we usually use are like dryer sheets - I think they're 20 to a package for about $4-5. I use 4 or 5 of them when washing a new quilt, but they can be reused until they're very dark-colored - 3 or 4 launderings at least.
