That machine is one of my favorite Japanese ZZ machines. It's not overly simply, the controls are somewhat complicated but when everything gets set right it makes even more stitches than what I had on the felt sheet in the pic. I didn't have it totally figured out when I did that one.
I've got my eyes out for a replacement left side cam stack though. They are plastic
and there is a chip out of one pattern. That machine follows the cams so precisely that it actually shows the chip as regular repeating missing stitches.
I doubt if I'll every find such a cam stack, but I'm watching for one.
