I started quilting a large quilt and my plan was to fold the backing over to the front for the binding. Well somehow the quilt-backing shifted and now one of the edges is too short to turn over. only have about 1/2 " of backing. but have alot on the other sides. And I had spray basted and pinned it. EERRRRRRRR. Should the binding be cut on the bias or could I trim off the edges an make a straight binding? I have set this quilt aside for months now , because I am going to have to do extra work.
