I would definitely wait until the baby is born to applique the baby's name on the quilt. I had a miscarriage at 4 1/2 months, I was heartbroken. It's a difficult time and sometimes you don't want to think about it as it's too painful. Well, 14 months later I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy(which the OB/GYN said was a girl) who was 8 and 1/2 lbs. and 21 inches long. Two and a half years later after a somewhat difficult pregnancy,(hate morning sickness) gave birth to a beautiful daughter (which the OB/GYN said was a boy). They are now 37, soon to be 38 next month, and 35 years old. That's a long answer to the question, but I would wait until the baby is here.
