Well, don't toss me off this Board but I went thru my "oak" phase in the 1980's. i have moved twice since then and remodeled the two kitchens, each time with honey maple cabinets. Very simple style. The current kitchen has a mocha glaze in the crevices. I don't care for the large, open grain of oak, but, hey, to each their own taste. I also did not buy into the current and tiring soon-to-be-dated stainless appliance craze. I prefer white. I am surely "dated" but it is my taste and I am happy.
I love this show for the ideas but in the end, remodel and decorate to your taste.
