This has brought to mind an experience I've had in the past. I hurt my hand and after 2 weeks of not being able to use the 3 fingers on my left hand, I went to my doctor. He tried for 2 weeks (xrays, etc) and then sent me to a specialist. I went to that guy for 6 months! (GASP!) and finally I'd had my fill. The next to last appointment, he chewed out an assistant until she had tears in her eyes....right in front of me! So the next time, I'd seethed for 2 weeks, he said "well, we'll give it another month and see how it's doing"....well, it was WORSE than it had been 6 months before. So I responded....I said "that's not adequate". He was stunned and said "what?". He asked if I wanted to go to another doctor and I said yes, but that I would find the doctor and he would refer me. As a parting shot, I told him he was VERY unprofessional to chew his staff out in front of clients. WELL, I DID go to another doctor. He immediately took off the splint, said that was making it worse, and put me in physical therapy ....5 treatments and I've had no more problems with my hand.!!!!
