Since he was not receiving it for his actual graduation day, I gave him a card and told him that there was a quilt coming named "Climbing Jacob's Ladder Reaching for the Stars" and I included sample pieces of all of the fabrics I was using. He looked at it for quite a while and kept repeating "Cool!, Cool" As soon as the top was complete, I showed it to him, and again, "He said "Oh, Cool! I love it!" When he finally received it six months later, he shivered with delight. His hugs were pretty special, too. He's an awesome kid, doing so well in school.
