I'd love to be able post a picture, but since the website changed, I'm unable to do that. I've tried. So, I'll do the next best thing.
I have all of my fat quarters or 2 1/2" strips on the top shelf, vertically stacked fabric on the next (that fits the height of the shelf) , larger quantities on the third shelf (horizontally), and flannels on the bottom. Some flannels are already cut into 10" squares, ready for rag quilts. As well as a stack of 8" batting squares, also ready for future rag quilts. My full bolt of warm and natural (40 yds) is stored in a corner of my closet in my bedroom, hidden behind clothing.
I've been a quilter for ~10 years now. My beautiful 6' Pier 1 enclosed cupboard was picked out by my dh to hold my fabric and still match our other furniture in the family room. Family room is right next to my sewing studio.
