Well, I get 30,but I assume you are going to cut 12 1/2 inch squares, allowing room for 1/4 inch seams.. That would leave you with a back of 60 x 72...not quite 60x 71... (Divide 60 by 12 to get five. Divide 71 by 12 to get 5.9...which would be six. So you need 5x6 = 30 squares)

Not too sure how you want to deal with the one inch difference. I would just make one square on each row a smaller size.
