I decided how wide I wanted them, (I think they are 2-3") then worked with a plate and pencil on paper until I had the shape right. Then I made the manila folder template to starch and press to 30's prints around
then laid it on the white sashing and appliqued it. Is that clear as mud?

I'm not really bumping the thread, it just makes me happy to come and look at Becky's wonderful work.
I'm having lung surgery in the morning and welcome the lift
I had a different quilt picked to send her in 1800's reproductions called Kudzu, but when I found out about the surgery i sent the 30's one off promptly. I figured if I do have to have chemo, I wanted one of my own quilts to tuck around me! We can always find a reason can't we?! If I don't then yipee, I can celebrate having one more finished. Sounds like quilter logic to me!

Thank you again Becky for enhancing my work, Rob has strict orders to stop at the PO when he comes home in case it is there. I love to have things to look forward to~
