I agree with this post. use a solid fabric for the border. Not sure what color you have for your prints but many colors work for a solid border. Check your stash.

I know what you mean. It would bother me, so I would have to recut it along the lines of the print. You probably don't want to spend any more money, but you could add a 3" solid color outer border.
