our whole family roots for the OSU Buckeyes, and kiddingly say "that state up north" is a cuss word. One day, on a family trip, we were with two of our grandkids, ages around 3-4, heading up to the UP. We had just crossed the state line moments before, and passed a spot where a skunk had been killed. Out of the back seat, my 3 yr old granddaughter said " OOOh, stinky. We must be in Micigan'" We tease her about that to this day
