Honestly, I love using glue to match seams but I would not do it on a top I planned to hand quilt. The glue hardens, which would make pushing a needle through it difficult. The only way you could use it is if your quilting plan never goes over a seam that requires matching -- and that is possible if you are going to hand quilt 1/4" away from each seam, which is a traditional method of hand quilting. If you need to hand quilt across seams, I would stay away from glue.
