To eliminate the pt. problem, lay the 45 degree line of your ruler on the long cut edge of the fabric, not on the sewn seam. The top point of the ruler should be on the stitching line at the top.
Your welcome, burnsk! Someone brought it to my attn so promised I wd do it. Thanks for clearing up the "cutting off the points" issue. It seems so much better to align w/the edge of the fabric; now why didn't we think of that? ha. We've all only been sewing for yrs. ha.ha. 8) :-) :roll:
