I've had the same Rowenta for 14+ years. Don't know the model, but one thing it does is stut off when unused for a period of time. That's not ideal with quilting, so maybe loook for one without htat feature...
After all this time, it still works great and doesn't leak. My neighbors daughter accidentally dropped it years ago on my basement floor (it was turned off) and it worked fine after that.
