DJ, I have been in Alaska for almost 10 years and Homer for three years. Do come visit when you get the chance, I consider myself sooo lucky to live here. It is so beautiful sometimes it almost hurts your eyes to look at it!

My husband is from AK and I have friends who live in Ninilchik, and DH used to live there when when was in first grade.

His family now lives farther up in the Matanuska valley area.
Home feels like it's at the end of the world! Enjoy. I remember eating lobster at a church "dinner on the grounds" once.
I thought, "only in Alaska" would this happen.
