Another possibility ... I have a Valentines quilt which when out of season, I flip it over, to let the backing be the top. It's a nice neutral black with gold print. Then I overlay a quilt that is too small for my bed. The large quilt frames it up nicely, and it lets me showcase other smaller quilts as I wish.
