What an incredible compliment - you certainly can do MUCH with your long arm and your domestic home sewing machine. I have been quilting for 8 years - I started doing quilting like this in the last year or two. I bought my long arm at the end of January this year so it has taken me a few months with daily practice to feel almost as comfortable on my long arm as my regular sewing machine. You can do it! No frownie faces! Just practice...and there will be times of frustration...there was a day not too long ago that I said to my Husband...and I quote..."just call somebody to come and get this long arm and take it out of my sight!" Thank goodness he ignores me when I flip out...one good night's sleep and I was much more optimistic!
