One good thing this year is that no quilts were sent before confirming a swap was happening. Last year I had already completed and sent my partners quilt to her, and never heard from her until months later, when she actually e-mailed me to tell me how much she was enjoying it! But she never made one for me.
Oh twinrivers I did not realize you had send yours already. I had a similar issues but had not send mine, just sheer luck, and after some juggling and the help from the swap host I received a quilt and send mine on to quiltermomma who made lots of quilts for many people. Yes, I second do not send unless you are sure people are ready and able to finnish the swap with you.
