I'm so sorry to hear that -- its a lot of work putting those shelves up and getting fabric on there just right. Home Depot has open shelving units that have braces that are put directly into studs and the shelving hooks off the braces. Each shelf is supposed to hold well over 1000 lbs. That might be just the ticket for you. Plus, if you want more room (or less) you just move the shelf up or down on the brace and rehang it. I put those into my daughters closet at her new home (a huge walk in) and its now fully loaded with hardly room to put more clothes in, and working great.
