I use the boltless shelving units that can stand-alone and are adjustable.
I bought the tennsco brand - and love them.
The only equipment needed to assemble them - besides some warm bodies - is a rubber mallet/hammer.

I have the Z-Line shelving.
I think one can also get it from distributors near wherever one lives.
When I first started buying it, all that was available was that icky particle board for the shelving (which I polyurethaned). Now one can get shelving with a white laminated surface - which is a bit more expensive, but so much nicer!
