This works except that when water level gets very low, it tips when you lift it and you spill water in coop. Has anyone got any ideas?? We are considering just using buckets. Has anyone tried that?
you don't want to use a bucket, they will drown in them.!!!!!!! I have had baby chicks, that mess is just the nature of the little beast. Very very messie little things. Just put a block or something under the metal one and get it off the floor a little to keep the shavings out of it . You can't do anything about keeping the poop out. We used to hang our feeders from the top to keep them off the floor. but that is only after they get bigger. Good luck Been there done that and sure glad I don't any more........Darla
