OK, here we go, I had a chance to get to the basement and find the tiles. There are actually only 2 types (this I sort of remembered) of "blocks" - 6" and 4" - besides the border.
I think the Jacob's ladder can represent the border...

I'm trying to find an easy way to draw it in EQ, but really, the moda pattern is very close.
I think with a 2x4 block, maybe no sashing, I could make a 10x6 block and work that way? It's a weird sized block though. Thoughts?
ETA: 12x10 might look more "normal"?
