The Oliso looks like it's a great iron. After being out for several years, I would think they have "ironed out" the kinks. I'd say go for it.
I have seen a lot of folks who have had bad luck with their Rowenta iron. I have to say that mine is almost 20 years old and still going strong. No leaking or spurting at all !! Worth the price to me..
