I'm not familiar with either of those machines. If you're looking to do piecing of the quilt tops themselves, just about any machine will work. If you want to then machine quilt your completed tops, you'll want to look at 'throat size/harp' - space between needle and inside edge of the machine. The larger that space, the more room you have for larger quilts. I would suggest starting out with your existing machine and see how it goes. If it starts giving you fits, and you decide quilting is something you love and want to continue, you can always upgrade later.
