Here's the 301 I just got today. She sews and has all her original attachments, the manual and a zigzagger, all in great condition, considering she's 60 years old. She's kind of stinky. I believe she's probably spent at least several months in a humid area such as an attic or garage. The fact that a spool of thread on the spindle was covered with mildew was not a good sign. But I'm very pleased to rescue her from that before things got too far out of hand.
Well at least the boxes and manual don't look to have suffered too badly! I picked up one of these in a cabinet that took off alot of the finish where it sat in its cradle.
