I tied the last two I made, they were baby quilts and gifts that were loved. When my back is hurting it is so much easier to set in my recliner and tie than bending over the machine and pulling and tugging a large quilt. I go with what I think looks best with the pattern, some are just meant to be quilted and would not look as pretty tied and others look better tied. What others think is not that important to me, it is my quilt and I have so much fun making it and that is what is important to me. And that the ones I give them as gifts like them. The only one of my quilts I have kept for myself was made of some of my favorite fabrics and tied.
