[QUOTE=sushi;6422714]From looking inside the book at amazon.com, it's clear that not all the quilts are tied. BUT SOME ARE!
When you receive the book, Terry, will you please tell us what you think?
Many thanks in advance.[/QUOTE
Sure will...I'm anxious to get it. Terry

Wasn't the book by 2 English authors? I noticed that on Amazon it list Rosemay Wilkinson is the Editor.
Looks to be more then 2 authors: " [h=3]About the Author[/h]Gill Turley, a lecturer to international patchwork groups, from Dorking, Survey; Katharine Guerrier, an experienced author and designer, from Worcester; Rebecca Collins, a teacher and designer, from St Asaph, Wales; Jenni Dobson, an international lecturer and quilter, from Leicester; Anne Walker, quilt shop owner and workshop organiser from Ashtead, Surrey --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. Hi Folks, I am Gill Turley and I've just been reading this posting with interest.
The book mentioned is edited by Rosemary Wilkinson (published by New Holland) but there were six of us quilters from the U.K. who wrote a chapter each and made the quilts for our chapters. The red and blue tied quilt on the front of the cover with the equilateral triangles is mine and yes it is tied. Some of my quilts were machine quilted and some hand quilted. There are other books in this series. The first was "Quick Quilt to make in Weekend"
I hope this posting helps.

My Grandmother tied all her quilts. And this was years & years ago, so don't tell those ladies tieing doesn't make it a quilt! Bless them all, plus if they weren't tied they were hand quilted way back then. Just think how fortunate we are with all our machines, rotary cutter etc.
