I have a line drawn on my machine straight out from the needle. To sew a corner on a snowball I put the small square in the corner, the needle on one corner and the opposite corner on the line. Then as I sew I keep the opposite corner on the line. It sews a straight line on the corner square and makes an easy snowball. Hope this makes sense.
