Default Snowballing a block

I'm trying to find the instructions for snowballing a block. It was similar to using the angler but it used putting tape on the bed of the sewing machine. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used the painter's tape method for joining the 45* angles on my binding but not for snowballing a square. For snowballing a square, Jenny from MSQC presses the small square in half and uses the crease mark to sew along for snowballing a corner of the bigger square.

I just made a lot of snowball blocks and at first ironed the crease and was having some problems keeping them accurate. I then changed to drawing a line from corner to corner and was more accurate.

I also draw the line corner to corner and the larger squares I pin so they won't shift. Sometimes I only trim the back triangle of the corner piece and leave the large square intact. It helps sew the squares together straight.

I do this too -- draw the line. For small squares, I usually trim all the back pieces because of the bult, but for the larger pieces, I trim the small piece, but not the piece from the original, large square.

I have a line drawn on my machine straight out from the needle. To sew a corner on a snowball I put the small square in the corner, the needle on one corner and the opposite corner on the line. Then as I sew I keep the opposite corner on the line. It sews a straight line on the corner square and makes an easy snowball. Hope this makes sense.

This is exactly it, just put the tape instead of the line down. Great explanation! I use the tape for this all the time, easier than marking the squares.
Now my machine has the laser and that is the slickest yet for snowballs!
