I have one and it works great - and you can make the ruffle and sew it on at the same time - it does take a little bit of dexterity to accomplish both but as far as ruffling - that is pretty easy - just set the ruffles you want (1,6,12) so every stitch is ruffled or every 6th stitch, etc. I think you will like it.
