You only need to print 1/4 of the block then trace it 4 times on your foundation. Just remember the smaller you make them, the smaller your applique pieces will be. I think I would like anywhere from 12" to 16" blocks. Try printing them as a 12" block and if you like the way the pieces look then do them that size, if you think all the applique pieces are too tiny notch it up to 14" and so forth. I don't think I would go any bigger than 18" and I don't think I would go any smaller than 12" (these are finished sizes.)
